Students, do you understand what is "low carbon life"?

Students, do you understand what is "low carbon life"?

Last year, I participated in the city's science and technology handwritten newspaper competition, collected a lot of information about "low carbon life", and learned that "low carbon life" is a green lifestyle. Its most fundamental idea is to advocate us to "protect the environment, start from me". Many people today practice this lifestyle in various ways. For example, the water to wash rice and vegetables can water flowers. When taking a bath in winter, the cold water from the water pipe will be able to flush the toilet.

The continuation of life, the survival of mankind, is inseparable from natural resources. The Earth is our common home and that of all living beings. In response to the worsening of the earth's ecological environment and the shortage of resources, I realized the importance of environmental protection, energy saving and low-carbon life.

Use more environmentally friendly degradable cardboard hangers, paper shoe hooks, paper hooks, etc., eco-friendly cardboard products, recyclable to protect environmental protection do their bit.

In fact, to join the "low carbon gens" is not difficult, "low carbon life" details throughout our life. Since I know, our family has a good habit of saving electricity: we only turn on the white energy-saving light when we need; We always set the air conditioning to 27℃ or 28℃ in summer; The power of the water dispenser is never always on, and the water to drink is temporary boiled water from the kettle. TVS, computers don't stay on standby for long...

Inspired by my parents, I have developed the good habit of turning off the light since I was a child. However, I did not know why, after I moved to the community, the street lights outside were not as bright as those on the main road before. I always felt that the surroundings were quiet and a little scary, so I gradually lost this good habit. Dad often reminds me to turn off the light, but listen to a lot of it is a little tired, occasionally in the heart murmur: "Dad is really, so stingy, open a light and can waste how much electricity, how much money?"

It was not until one day that I read the environmental protection article "Global Warming is a big problem" that I had a rude awakening. It tells us that getting into the habit of turning off the lights can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3 to 6 kilograms a year. I did some math and found that if all 1.3 billion people in China could get into the habit of turning off the lights at random, we could save 46 to 8 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions that year. I had no idea that our good habit could have such huge benefits. It's not just a matter of wasting a few dollars. Since then, without my father to remind me, I can consciously turn off the light.

"Low carbon life" is between our actions and actions, less use a plastic bag, carbon dioxide emission 0, 1 gram; In summer, when air conditioning is increased by 1℃, an average of 175 grams of carbon dioxide can be reduced per unit per day. Choose seasonal vegetables and fruits, 400 grams of carbon dioxide emissions per kilogram; One tree can absorb 18, 3 kilograms of carbon dioxide a year... All these tell us that low-carbon life is around us. Saving every piece of paper, every kilowatt of electricity and every drop of water is what everyone can do.

For our home, let us act, do a small model of environmental protection and energy saving!
